Poshmark announced partnership with Amazon allowing customers of their application to use voice commands to request styling recommendations

Poshmark, a social marketplace for fashion, partnered with Amazon for the release of their application called Poshmark Stylist Match. Essentially it enables a user to use voice commands to receive recommendations on what they should wear based on their preferred style.

When a user wants to find an outfit on Poshmark using their Amazon device, they simply need to say, “Alexa, style me a classy outfit on Poshmark.” The program goes through a series of outfits stylists posted to the marketplace and then locates the best choices based off the user’s account information. The recommendations show up in the user’s account for them to view at their leisure. This new feature launched on November 14 alongside Poshmark announcing a successful round of funding where the company was able to raise $87.5 million.

Poshmark wants to use these new funds to expand the technology available on their platform and hope to someday connect stylists with shoppers over Amazon devices for the two parties to engage in meaningful conversations.
