The Yaro Ramen restaurant chain in Tokyo created an app that gives customers access to a subscription service for ramen

A restaurant chain in Tokyo called Yaro Ramen has created a subscription service. Available through its new app, the service gives customers access to ramen every day for a flat rate. Subscribers pay ¥8,600 per month (about $75), which allows them to go to any of the Yaro Ramen locations in Tokyo and pick up a customized bowl of ramen.

A customer can change up their choice each day with a selection of meats and broths or have the same bowl every time. The app provides customers with access to the subscription service as well as coupons and new menu items. The Yaro Ramen app launched on November 1.

Because Yaro Ramen operates exclusively in Tokyo, those outside the city do not have access to the service. If the subscription plan proves successful, other restaurant chains may take notice and adapt a similar concept.
