Virgin Atlantic Is Helping People Crowdfund Flights Over The Holidays

Virgin Atlantic wants to encourage holiday shoppers to help give a flight this year instead of a random gift

November means the start of holiday shopping. Virgin Atlantic wants to help with its Where I Want for Christmas campaign, which encourages people to ask family and friends for contributions to a flight, rather than a gift.

To do this, the user creates a profile on the campaign page and chooses where they would like to go. From there, the user customizes the page to set a target amount and how much they want to contribute themselves. Then the user sends out the invitations to those who they know want to purchase them gifts and provide them with the new idea. An ad about the campaign will debut later this month on YouTube.

Where I Want for Christmas is available online now.
