Classic Christmas songs were reworded to feature feminist lyrics

What better way to encapsulate 2017 and toast to its end than by creating a female empowerment campaign.  Advertising company Grey London did just that by putting a feminist spin on several traditional Christmas songs, coining them Hyrrs instead of Hymns. The collection consists of several notable songs, such as “Deck the Halls with Boughs of Holly”, “O Christmas Tree  and “Silent Night” reworked into “Kick The Balls (Of Patriarchy)” and “Oh Sexism”, respectively. Grey London released the album as a way to enable people to feel empowered this holiday season.

Those interested in acquiring the collection of songs can find them on iTunes, Google Play or Amazon, and stream from them Spotify. All proceeds from the collection go to Refuge, a domestic violence charity.
