The alcohol brand capitalized on the connected home craze with a smart device designed to pour bourbon

Jim Beam decided to riff off of the current craze for smart home devices with a new smart product called Jim. While it may seem like another fancy device designed to tell someone the forecast, play the radio or read their emails, Jim does one simple task: pour bourbon.

Anyone can ask Jim to tell them the weather, but it replies with a witty comment advising the person to have a glass of bourbon. Though the product is largely a marketing stunt, the brand has listed a product page on its website for anyone interested in purchasing it.

Those interested in pre-ordering Jim can do so and receive it by December 15. However, at this time the product page lists this item as out of stock and does not say when it may return. The device does not come with bourbon.
