Biofit offers fitness enthusiasts a more natural and calming setting for indoor workouts

Gym interior design is pretty standard, but United Kingdom-based Biofit is trying something new by embracing the concept of biophilic architecture. This design technique focuses on bringing nature to a inside environment for an indoor-outdoor hybrid.

This aesthetic strips away a gym’s typical plastic and turns the space into a landscaped adventure with an artificial grass floor, modified lighting to mirror a natural setting and a variety of hanging plants. Biofit matched its equipment to this environment, opting to offer visitors sandbags, wooden bars and beams, and ropes for working out. While the simple equipment may seem unorthodox, Biofit leans on the growing trend of fitness enthusiasts interested in exploring methods like Crossfit and Parkour.

Those interested in attending Biofit can find its gym locations in London, Stockholm and Calgary.
