The Garmin Approach X10 watch comes with GPS and data from thousands of golf courses

Many golfers rely on caddies for expertise on whatever golf course they are playing, but Garmin has released a niche product to see if tech can do it better. The Garmin Approach X10 comes pre-loaded with data from over 41,000 golf courses around the world.

The device a standalone watch. It includes GPS receiver and all the information needed to map out the wearer’s current golfing location. Straightforward control also allows players to choose flag locations, scan hazards and spot doglegs. The watch can also display distances from the front, back and middle of the green. With the GPS in use, the watch battery can last for 12 hours—enough for an entire day of golf.
