In Brief

A new security camera created by Yves Behar's Fuseproject made an appearance this year's Consumer Electronics Show

Design studio Fuseproject, led by Yves Behar, introduced its new home security camera Hive View at CES 2018. The lamp-like Hive View sits on top of a round base that can rest on a surface or be mounted to a ceiling or a wall.

For owners who want to be more discreet, the cube-shaped camera can be removed from the base. The camera only starts to record video when its sensors detect sound or movement. When the camera is activated, it sends a notification to the owner’s smartphone. Owners who have pets in the house can set the camera to start recording only when a person walks in front of it.
