Vending Machine Doled Out Snowballs At The Super Bowl

Minneapolis ad agency Space150 packed a special vending machine with snowballs for visiting football fans

Hundreds of thousands of football fans flocked to Minneapolis this weekend to watch one of the biggest games of the year. Ad agency Space150 decided that they should leave the city with more than just Super Bowl memorabilia, so it set up a special vending machine that doled out freshly packed snow balls as a way of showing off some Minnesotan pride. The snowballs cost $1, payable by cash, credit card or Apple Pay, with all funds going to the Wilderness Inquiry, a Minnesota nonprofit that helps urban kids explore the great outdoors.

“Ultimately we were looking to find something that celebrates the region and that celebrates the fact that six or seven months out of the year here it’s pretty cold and there’s something cool about that,” Space150 CCO Brock Davis told Ad Week. “There’s a pride in our tundra.”
