Machine learning can help content creators monitor and personalize material, from comment forums to AI-generated music

An increasing number of brands are turning to artificial intelligence capabilities such as machine learning to augment their marketing strategies. Computer programs that can access data, analyze it and use it to learn are helping companies improve personalization, productivity and performance for users.

PSFK researchers took a closer look at how marketers are using AI to customize brand storytelling and generate messages for audiences:

Alphabet
Software from Google's parent Alphabet relies on machine learning algorithms to sift through digital site comments and identify abusive or defamatory comments. The program is employed by human moderators to enable faster identification at scale, turning comment sections into areas to facilitate positive conversation or discourse.

Magenta
Google’s Magenta is a research project that aims to advance machine learning arts by designing algorithms that can be programmed to generate art and music. Magenta develops algorithms that can be used by other AI platforms to autonomously create content or support human musicians to craft pieces alongside AI collaborators.

These examples show how machine learning can play a role in content. Algorithms can generate a range of creative materials for brands, including songs, images, videos and drawings. For more insights, check out our recent research paper, Evolved Brand Marketing & AI Toolkits.
