The startup ProcessOut helps e-commerce companies avoid failed transactions by automatically routing customers through the optimal provider

French startup ProcessOut offers a service help larger e-commerce companies process transactions with fewer failures. The tech automatically routes online transactions to the optimal payment provider, facilitating the exchange and saving businesses and customers alike the time and frustration of faulty transactions.

The service comprises two main elements. First is Telescope, which shows users all of their transaction and gives recommendations, like letting them know if they are overpaying for a transaction provider. Second, ProcessOut built its own a checkout module that acts as a third party facilitator between the payment provider and the e-commerce customer. ProcessOut can also save customer data, like credit card information, to allow retailers to switch easily from one payment provider to another.
