In response to the rising emphasis on STEM education, Sony has created a coding game for kids called KOOV. The first U.S. launch of Sony’s Global Education division, the company hopes that KOOV will be a popular item for schools.

The Educator Kit has been designed for children ages eight and up to teach them Scratch, an introductory programming language on the KOOV app that allows them to control the robots they build. With over 300 building blocks, there are 23 different robots that can be made using pre-coded “Robot Recipes.” Once children have mastered the pre-coded recipes, they can build their own original robots and make them move with the app that works on Windows, MacOS and iOS, with Chromebook support to come.
