A series of talks at the department store will focus on female empowerment, starting with a celebration of working moms

Bloomingdale’s department store is joining forces with mom social network Peanut and designer and entrepreneur Rebecca Minkoff to launch a series of panel talks on female empowerment on May 3. The “In Her Shoes” series will cover a variety of topics affecting modern women, starting with motherhood.

The talks, which will take place at Bloomingdale’s New York flagship on 59th Street, will give entrepreneurial women a platform to share their experiences on both lighthearted and thought-provoking subjects. The speakers and collaborators, including Minkoff, Peanut founder Michelle Kennedy and Bloomingdale’s creative director Sophia Tang, are women in influential positions, and many juggle their successful careers with parenting.

With this new initiative, Bloomingdale’s joins a national conversation surrounding women, work and culture, in addition to broadening its network of brands that share core values.
