Virgin Holidays opened the ultimate consumer-focused travel store, complete with VR experiences and refreshments

The Virgin Holidays v-room store in Cardiff, Wales is a reimagining of what travel and retail can offer. YourStudio, an experiential design studio in the UK, designed not just a store but a lounge that gets travelers in the mood for their trip. The location has a range of experiences that transport visitors to destinations around the world using VR technology and spatial design. Of course, no lounge would be complete without amenities and Virgin Holidays v-room offers coffee, champagne and a full snack bar, plus magazines and fun content that takes viewers to English countrysides, the African plains, outer space and the crystal clear waters of the Caribbean. It’s a trip within a trip.

Aside from the amenities is the decor’s relaxing, mood-enhancing aesthetic with calming color palette and soft lines. There are luxurious couches and chairs, and also a playroom for the kids to enjoy. The store has mock Virgin Airlines plane seating to play at flying before buying. The Virgin Holidays store creates the ultimate customer-centric experience for those ready for adventure.
