Gamers will soon be able to come together and support their favorite streaming stars by joining leagues on a new platform called Quarterback. Streamers can host daily challenges and prize giveaways, while users can compete to become top players. This will also give more opportunities for streamers to earn money, engage with their fan base and create their own gaming libraries. The purpose of the platform is to move the power of influence to gamers rather than game publishers and existing streaming sites, which will, in turn, encourage engagement.

Both gamers and streamers in eSports have proven to be profitable. Many belong to a generation of consumers who do not partake in traditional media but spend hours playing video and online games. Creating a platform that encourages gamers to make their own content and partnerships is an opportunity for a more connected and communicative generation of streamers and players.
