Pizza-themed stunt, called Pie in the Sky, promotes the airline's new transcontinental flight route

JetBlue is promoting its New York to Los Angeles flight route in an unforgettable—and tasty—way by delivering pies from Patsy's Pizzeria in East Harlem to hungry LA residents between May 9 and 11. Customers can order a cheese or pepperoni pizza on the designated website for the Pie in the Sky promotion, jetblue.pizza, and track its whereabouts throughout the delivery process after it's baked in a coal-fire oven at Patsy's and sent on its way from John F. Kennedy International Airport. The airline is taking care of delivery fees, taxes and tips, allowing consumers to receive their pizzas for less than $20 each.

Ordering begins at 12 a.m. PDT on Wednesday. Before making its way to the customer's door between 7 p.m. and 10 p.m. PDT, each pizza will be prepared in a kitchen at Los Angeles International Airport to ensure that it arrives as hot and fresh as possible. The promotion is first-come, first-serve, only guaranteeing the delivery of 350 pizzas each day. If successful, the campaign could open the door for other brands to explore cross-country cultural exchanges.
