Freelancers Network Leverages Slack For Job Matching

An add-on for the work messaging platform increases its value for users by offering access to a network of pre-screened freelance talent

Since its launch in 2013, Slack has had a major impact on the way offices communicate. While primarily known as an office messaging platform, a team has created a plugin called Gratify that will help companies reach outside of their workplaces to recruit freelance talent.

One of the main pain points in hiring freelancers is that company leadership can feel like they are doing it blindly. Gratify fixes this problem by providing users with pre-screened professional freelancers. The employer and freelancer can communicate through Slack and the project can be assigned and completed without the hassle of searching for candidates and then going through negotiations, saving time and money for everyone involved.
