The hospitality giant is reducing its environmental footprint while contributing to a cause in an initiative called Threadforward

Westin Hotels and Resorts introduced a new program called Project Rise: Threadforward, which aims to clean, process and reweave hotel bed linens to transform them into pajamas for children in need, at once reducing environmental waste as well as encouraging better sleep for children. This bedding-into-bedclothes project is part of Westin’s commitments to several different wellness and sustainability efforts over the past few years, and presents a creative solution to the massive amounts of textile waste that the hospitality industry generates.

Westin will produce thousands of pairs of pajamas, distributing some of them directly to children in need as well as selling some, from which the proceeds will go to the charity Delivering Good.
