Waze Collaborates With Fiat To Create A Navigation-Friendly Car
This is the first car to incorporate Waze into its design and technology, the navigation app being integrated into the vehicle's dashboard, and offers users a more convenient and seamless driving experience
The navigation application Waze has helped users find their destinations and maneuver local traffic for years. Now the app has collaborated with Italian automobile manufacturer Fiat to design a special-edition city car, the Fiat Panda Waze. The new vehicle is sold in Europe and is powered by Panda Uconnect, a Fiat-owned entertainment app.
The car is equipped with a dock on the dashboard that fits smartphones, which will help drivers navigate and view traffic reports. The car is modeled after Fiat’s Panda Cross in the same black trim and exterior attributes that include door handles, bumpers and moldings. The Fiat Panda Waze will also be outfitted with 15-inch wheels, titanium-grey interior and 68 horsepower.
As of now, the model is only marketed to European audiences. However, this pairing with user-friendly technology to offer consumers built-in navigation support may expand to other markets if proven popular, and may serve as inspiration for future application and software collaborations in the transportation industry.
