Music Video Composed Entirely of Stock Media Shows Potential For Future Content Creators

First Aperture, a DJ created by the Getty Images database, released a new single along with a groundbreaking music video complied completely of Getty’s media. Along with the database’s stock images being the sole source material for the single, “Take Control,” and the merchandise line for the album, the audio mixed to create the video was also sourced from the Getty’s content.
The ability to design a full-length video is a testament to the scope and potential use of the database. First Aperture’s creation is opening the art world up to a new kind of borrowed-form media, encouraging everyday users to create their own content without necessarily needing musical skills.
