Homes.com added a visual search tool for houses, along with a social element that lets users explore listings with family and friends

Searching for a new home can be exciting and stressful at the same time. Homes.com has released three new features meant to eliminate the stress and make the process easier and more social. The first tool is a visual search called Snap & Search. This allows users to take a photo of a house they like and upload it to Homes.com. The search tool will then show them homes in their location which share similar exterior features.

Match is tool that allows searchers to input their “must-haves” and “nice-to-haves” to be shown the local homes that best meet their needs. A percentage is attached that shows how well a house meets the set preferences.

The final and most interesting tool is HomeShare, which brings a social element into the mix. When people are scouting out a new home, they discuss the process with family, friends and the realtor. HomeShare takes this communication online with a feature that allows collaborators to bookmark, share, comment and track listings on Homes.com. By making it easier for friends and family to take part in the search, the platform is making the online real estate experience a bit less strenuous. The tools, which were created with digital agency Grow, are now live on the website.
