Dutch Airline’s Mobile App Aims To Streamline The Flyer Experience
KLM added several new features to its app to allow customers to better prepare for and facilitate their own flying experience, including rebooking cancelled flights, checking in, selecting meals and more
Flying can be incredibly stressful, which is only compounded when facing delays, cancellations and long lines of people all vying for assistance from the airline staff. Dutch airline KLM is helping passengers get more done through its latest app to make the flying experience that much easier.
The app offers a number of new features, including letting users rebook a cancelled flight from their phone rather than waiting in line or on the phone. The app also allows customers to claim a snack or meal voucher when there is a severe delay. There is also a new Milestone feature that keeps track of where passengers go as well as how often and for how long they use KLM, data that can be shared directly on social media.
KLM offers the app on smartphones, tablets and even smart watches, providing consumers with optimal convenience. This app not only serves to streamline the hectic flying process, but also puts more agency into the flyers’ hands, letting them expedite elements of their pre-flight experience themselves, on their own time.
