Sports Blockchain Platform Connects Fans With Their Favorite Players
Referred to as the "Sports Social Network," Olyseum brings fans closer to their sports idols with incentives like VIP tickets, as well as communities and experiences curated around users' preferences
Sports network Olyseum wants to change how fans interact with their idols through its platform powered by blockchain technology. Launched by former FC Barca players Carles Puyol, Andrés Iniesta and Iván de la Peña, the experience is completely curated for fans by their idols, and is currently being tested in Russia during the World Cup.
The network includes a number of incentives to shape the experience, encouraging fans to use it while offering valuable extras, like exclusive merch, VIP passes and other unique encounters with idols. The idea is that brands with the best content will easily stand out amongst the rest within the platform.
Giving fans the power to choose their favorites enhances the overall feel of the blockchain-powered network, and further bridges the gap between sports stars and their fans. Also, Olyseum’s Communities feature allows every idol to have their own group for personal interactions with fans and rewards as well as exchange products and services.
“We believe that Olyseum will become the number one destination for fans and idols from a range of sports, countries and cultures, and we look forward to welcoming idols from different parts of the sporting world, from basketball and tennis to golf and motor grand prix,” said Olyseum CEO Carlos Grenoir. Helping fans connect more directly with their favorite players offers users a valuable and engaging medium to pursue their sports interests as well as interact with others who share them.
