With The Fourth of July falling on a Wednesday this year, many workers are dreading having to go back to work after their mid-week barbeques. Smirnoff Ice will be offering 100 lucky winners a reprieve by providing them with a cash prize that allows them to take off on July 5 and 6.

According to Smirnoff Ice brand director, Krista Kiisk, “Smirnoff Ice is a brand that encourages people to have fun, and we believe that America deserves more than 24 hours.” To enter the contest, workers can go onto Smirnoff’s Instagram or Facebook page and leave a comment on how they would spend the additional days off. One hundred winners we be selected at random and receive a $500 cash prize.

The promotion is to celebrate the company’s new Ice Red, White and Berry flavor. Smirnoff’s use of social media in conjunction with a major holiday functions as a way to advertise its new flavor while also providing a little bit of extra fun to its customers. The contest is open now.
