Fortnite, the global video game sensation, invites gamers to play director for the brand’s contest in celebration of the commencement of its 5th season. To enter the contest, participants create original films, incorporating the game’s season-4 highlights, using the Replay system.   

All entries must be between one and five minutes long, use only royalty-free auto and, of course, be original and creative enough to catch the Epic’s attention. Grand-prize winners will have their film screened at the meteoric Risky Reels drive-in, receive 25,000 V-Bucks and have a poster eternalized in the game itself. For five finalists, Epic provides each of the winners with 10,000 V-Bucks.

Fortnite already is widely popular among consumers—even some who would not consider themselves regular games. Furthermore, while launching a filmmaking contest demonstrates the brand’s commitment to customer engagement, it also joins the trend around incorporating user-generated content, giving consumers active participation in the creation of the products and services they use.
