J.Crew is taking on the issue of size inclusion in its brand by teaming up with Universal Standard, the fashion retailer that caters to every size above a 4. The partnership will do more than cover a wider range of sizes, however: It will also make sure that no matter the body type or size of the wearer, the clothes will be flattering.

This capsule collection is just the first step in J.Crew’s mission to prioritize its customers’ needs. J.Crew x Universal Standard is making waves on the retailer’s website as well, and the collaboration now plans to further expand its sizing options this fall.

J.Crew is executing its size-expansion project in a way that sets it apart from other brands that have undertaken a similar model of inclusion: Instead of simply launching a plus-size line to go supplement the rest of its inventory, the retailer is bringing inclusion to the heart of its brand.
