With the Fourth of July approaching, Lincoln teamed up with Waze to design a frictionless journey for passengers, making road navigation easily accessible through the vehicle's touch screen

Luxury vehicle brand Lincoln has partnered up with navigation app Waze to enhance the roadtrip experience—just in time for the Fourth of July. According to Waze’s data, beaches are the busiest on Independence Day weekend, with 131% increase in navigations, so now Lincoln drivers can use the app through their car’s touch screen, thanks to the company’s integration via AppLink, to easily reach their sandy destinations.

This new partnership with Lincoln hopes to reduce the pain points of travel, making it easier than ever to avoid traffic and follow the best possible route. According to Waze product lead for in-car applications, Jens Baron, the feedback from users has been positive so far: “The Waze and Lincoln collaboration is another step forward in creating a seamless experience for Waze users,” he told PSFK in an email.

The Waze integration is another step in a series of features Lincoln has been adding to improve its technology offering, such as its Alexa compatibility. “As a brand, we’re committed to offering advanced technology that makes the driving experience more effortless,” said John Emmert, group marketing manager at The Lincoln Motor Company. “Integrating Alexa and Waze technology across the Lincoln lineup builds on that commitment to our clients.”
