Shoppers Can Book A Hyundai Test Drive Using Amazon Digital Showroom
The virtual showroom will allow prospective car buyers to gather information about Hyundai's car selection, find local dealers and learn about pricing, helping facilitate the pre-purchase process as well as build customer confidence
Technology has changed Amazon from a simple bookseller into a massive retailer offering anything from streaming entertainment to groceries. Hyundai is now partnering with Amazon to change the way consumers think about purchasing cars, offering them a virtual online showroom.
The goal for Hyundai is to create an atmosphere where users shop for a new car in the same way they would shop for any other online product, calling the service Hyundai Shopper Assurance. According to the car maker’s Senior Group Manager of Digital Marketing, Tim Maxwell, “Hyundai and its dealers are modernizing the car buying process, so it made sense for us to be the first car company with its own digital showroom.”
A visit to the virtual showroom is like a visit to the physical showroom, enabling the shopper can learn about car features, technology and warranty programs. If interested in moving forward, the consumer can access information on special pricing, local dealers and can even book a test drive.
Today’s consumers are much more likely to utilize technology to learn about important product purchases. In teaming up with Amazon, Hyundai is targeting consumers where they are already doing their online shopping, as well as streamlining the pre-purchase process for prospective buyers. The digital showroom is now live online.
