Car-Buying Website Connects Shoppers With Dealers Through Facebook

Cars.com is using an AI-powered chatbot to let customers ask questions—and get answers— outside of normal business hours

Cars.com has introduced a new way for potential buyers to get answers about vehicles outside of normal business hours. Called Social Sales Drive, the feature lets dealers use an AI-powered chatbot named Ana to interact with customers between the hours of 6 p.m. and 9 a.m., and provides 24/7 managed chat coverage as well.

The bot, which is seamlessly integrated into used car listings on Facebook Marketplace, links shoppers directly to the dealer’s inventory and business page to reduce the hassle of online vehicle browsing.
