Sleepwear Company Taps Into Wellness Craze With Experiential Store Design

Lunya's interactive retail location hosts events that focus on wellness and health, featuring fertility doctors, meditation gurus yoga, instructors and more

Sleepwear company Lunya combines apparel and wellness in its new storefront The Bedroom, which opened in Santa Monica, California this August. This is the second brick-and-mortar location for the brand and features a centerpiece made of a bed, nightstand and plants.

The rest of the design is sparse, allowing space for events to take place. The company will host in-store programs to complement the company’s wellness mission and will mirror past events held at the first storefront in New York City. Previous hosts include experts like a fertility doctor, cooking instructor, meditation guru, a yoga instructor, and groups focused on women’s needs.

Lunya also incorporates wellness into its clothing’s fabric. Last month the brand released the Cool collection, which is made of a material that keeps the wearer cool and dry. The company also sells the Restore collection, which converts body heat into energy.

Customers visiting the Santa Monica store will be able to attend panels and events that are lead by experienced employees. Activities will range in size from small dinner parties up to 120-person workshops and will occur two to three times a week.
