The Goods Mart aims to integrate the grab-and-go shopping experience with health and wellness-centric offers in response to consumer demand for the best of both worlds

The Goods Mart, a Los Angeles-based concept store, demonstrates how shoppers can purchase wellness products without sacrificing convenience. As millennial shoppers increasingly value more healthful food and home products, public relations expert Rachel Krupa saw a gap in the retail space between traditional convenience stores and larger wellness product retailers.

That’s where the idea came from to create the stand-alone store, which features healthful snacks, prepared foods, small household items, toiletries and more, all of which are free of disruptors, antibiotics, growth hormones, pesticides, nitrates and GMOs. To minimize waste and promote sustainability, the Goods Mart also is free of single-serving plastic bottles and promises to donate extra foodstuffs within 24 hours of their expiration date to Lunch on Me, a non-profit organization that feeds homeless people.

In addition to its socially-good initiatives and wellness-oriented products, the concept store’s experiential element aligns with millennial consumer taste preferences. The Goods Mart provides guests with an outdoor space, named “Jungle,” where shoppers can sit and relax, fully integrating a wellness-centric lifestyle with a grab-and-go space.
