Dave And Busters Offers Gamers A Virtual Reality Arcade Experience
The game is based on the movie Jurassic Park: Fallen Kingdom and is one element of the brand's plan, alongside an enhanced, vegan-friendly menu and food kiosks, targeted at fighting falling business
While Dave and Busters has seen a small slump in business, the brand is hoping the introduction of cutting edge technology can help drive sales. In July, the company released its first virtual reality video game to celebrate summer’s blockbuster movie, Jurassic Park: Fallen Kingdom.
One of Dave and Busters’ challenges has been offering gamers a reason to keep frequenting the chain and paying to play the games. Accordingly, the chain is focusing on building a library of VR attractions as a point of differentiation as well as a manner of encouraging more visits and building loyalty with regular customers.
New games are not the only way the arcade is looking to build sales: The restaurant portion of Dave and Busters will also be getting an upgrade, including the introduction of the vegan Impossible Burger. These efforts all form part of the brand’s plan to compete with the likes of Netflix and Seamless, offering unique experiences that incentivize business.
