Digital-native brand Dirty Lemon is opening its own checkout-free store in downtown Manhattan to engage new customers as well as reward its VIP members

Text-to-order beverage service Dirty Lemon is opening a cashierless shop in New York’s trendy TriBeCa neighborhood. Called The Drug Store, the location holds 1,000 bottles of the company’s beverages, but contains no employees.

Customers need only walk, in grab their beverage of choice, walk out and message one of Dirty Lemon’s 24/7 service reps to have their card charged. Dirty Lemon also wants to thank select members are enrolled in its VIP member program: Those who order at least a case of beverages a month will have access to an exclusive 1,300 square foot cocktail bar that the brand plans to utilize for events, screenings and tastings of new Dirty Lemon flavors.

The goal for the shop is to increase consumer awareness and drive brand engagement, encouraging visitors to join the brand’s 25,000 established members. If all goes well with the Drug Store, Dirty Lemon plans to open three more locations in the coming year.
