Bridgestone's platform sends messages regarding maintenance issues directly to drivers' mobile devices, letting them quickly address repair needs and even book appointments

Tire company Bridgestone recently announced a new program called My Speedy, which provides real-time vehicle monitoring and predictive diagnostics to alert drivers to any potential car problems.  The feature also assists drivers with resolving issues, aiming to save them money and time by addressing concerns promptly.

The system is made possible through a dongle in each vehicle and a unique predictive algorithm that connects to the My Speedy smartphone app. Drivers instantly receive a message on their mobile device when a current or possible issue is found, as well as suggested steps for addressing it. If they wish, they can also book an appointment at their nearest Speedy network store.

Currently My Speedy’s release is limited to Europe, beginning in France and eventually rolling out to approximately 500 stores in the Speedy retail network. If successful, the program will likely expand internationally.
