Hotel Chain Increases Membership Value By Offering Exclusive Stays And Experiences

In efforts to make its membership benefits more elite, Leading Hotels of the World has added a host of new features to its Leaders Club program, focusing on unique experiences and an easy-to-redeem points system

Hotel chain Leading Hotels of the World updated its Leaders Club rewards program to expand members-only offerings. Created in collaboration with the chain’s most loyal members, the added features focus on unique hotels with on-property experiences as rewards, as well as pre-arrival upgrades, and a more redeemable point system for free nights.

For every $1 spent, members get a point—a free night is worth 4,000 points. The membership has also gone up in price, from its original $150 yearly to $175.

“At any Leading Hotel a member visits, they are recognized for their membership and can unlock richer rewards with greater loyalty. We are excited about the launch of this new program that will celebrate individuality and reward our members for choosing the uncommon path.” said Shannon Knapp, Vice President & Chief Marketing Officer of The Leading Hotels of the World in a press release.

This new focus on boutique hotels, as well as a point system, represents an effort to make loyalty and membership more meaningful for customers, as upgrades and elite status are extremely common at larger chains. With Leaders Club, users can’t simply pay more to access the higher grade membership, Leaders Club Sterling, but instead must reach 5,000 points.
