Levi’s Offers Exclusive Merchandise To Snapchatters Who Shop Its Disney Store

In a foray into social commerce, a special-edition hat will be available for visitors of the Levi's store at Walt Disney World to purchase via a Snapcode and try on in AR

One strategy retailers implement to promote a product is to add a layer of exclusivity. Levi’s has partnered with Snapchat and Disney to do just that, creating a special edition hat that can only be purchased once the customer is at the Levi’s store in Disney Springs and has opened Snapchat.

Shoppers will be able to scan a Snapcode that allows them to virtually try on the hat at the store. Shoppers can then click to add the hat to their cart for a cost of $25. Levi’s SVP Brady Stewart says, “What was important to us was to be able to marry the physical, the digital and the social side of things into one experience as a company.”

This social commerce offer aims to provide value to all three companies as well as the consumer, exploring the potential of augmented reality and mobile technologies to enhance the shopping experience.
