In Brief

Using a motion-tracking sports bra and an in-store treadmill, Lululemon is helping customers personalize their apparel and optimize their workout

Women’s activewear brand Lululemon is using 3D technology to help customers find an optimal sports bra. Customers in San Jose can have their perfect fit recommended to them after answering a few questions on the Lululemon app and running on a treadmill while wearing a motion sensor-equipped sports bra.

This interactive experience will help customers figure out their perfect fit and while also introducing them to Lululemon’s full inventory, aiming to provide shoppers with the information they need to have a more comfortable and personalized fitness journey and product experience.

While currently this technology is only available in the Bay Area, Lululemon hopes to bring it to more locations in the future to further its mission to educate its customers and provide them with quality products.
