Paytm Canada launched a mobile app that allows customers to pay their bills and transfer money to friends straight from their phones. What sets Paytm apart from other money-sharing apps on the market is the large scale of bills that are covered in the payment system.

The service lets customers take care of everything from smaller transactions like paying friends back for lunch or a ride to making payments for taxes and credit cards. In addition, the platform will reward bill payers for for their business: Users can accumulate Paytm Points through payments made on an account linked to the app, earning one Paytm Point for every dollar paid.

The points can later be redeemed for cash or for a variety of gift cards from retailers like Lululemon, iTunes, Sephora and Tim Hortons, all without any fees attached.
