The Snapchat app's Discover section will feature a channel called “Shop and Cop," which will let consumers shop popular and emerging brands from Black Friday through Cyber Monday

Social media platform Snapchat is offering a holiday special this week, launching a shoppable channel powered by Shopify that allows for hassle-free, in-app purchasing. Called Shop and Cop, the channel differs from Snapchat’s past ventures in app sales, as all of the featured brands will be tailored according to the interests of Snapchat users and influencers.

The channel will be updated hourly with new brand deals and products, hoping to drive consumer interest. Over its long-weekend run, the shop will feature 20 different brands, including reality star Kylie Jenner’s Kylie Cosmetics, and rapper and actor Drake’s merchandise store, TourLife.

The channel ran a test with fitness brand Gymshark earlier this week and will continue to dole out deals from Black Friday until Cyber Monday. Snapchat hopes to capitalize on the shopping-heavy holiday to put its social commerce potential to the test, letting its users shop more seamlessly than ever before.
