The pharmacy is aiming to create an all-encompassing ecosystem for its customers, launching the Feel More Like Me initiative to provide integrated support from beauty and pharmacy departments for cancer patients

Walgreens is using its pharmacy and beauty department to help improve care for cancer patients. The Feel More Like You initiative is launching at more than 400 Walgreens locations across the country to help people afflicted with cancer and their caregivers help deal with all aspects of the physical changes associated with treatment.

Walgreens members in both the beauty department and behind the pharmacy desk have undergone specialized training to help people find the perfect beauty products and to walk them through medications and side-effect management. The Feel More Like You program comes to stores out of a collaboration between two other cancer-focused support organizations, Look Good, Feel Better and Cancer Support Community.

With recent pushes from chain stores like Walgreens to stay relevant in the beauty game, Feel More Like You is designed to tap a neglected market, integrating beauty advice from beauty consultants with that of pharmacists to offer customers a lifestyle ecosystem of support.
