Styled by Levi’s is a digital styling tool that uses customers' Pinterest data to curate shoppable style boards linking to Levi's products, aiming to enable purchase-driving visual discovery

Pinterest, social media platform known for its DIY tips and easy moodboarding, is partnering with American heritage brand Levi's to trial a style generator feature. Pinterest users can access the generator by going to the Levi's site, where they will be prompted to favorite five items from a list of images.

These choices, as well as the individual's previous activity on Pinterest, will then combine to inform personalized clothing recommendations, taking the form of editorial images or single-products photos, which are shoppable when relevant. Certain pins will also redirect users to Levi's chatbot, Ask Indigo, for more one-on-one assistance.

While Pinterest has partnered with other brands for sponsored content in the past, this partnership with Levi's is its first test of an official personal apparel styling tool. Pinterest creative strategy lead Raashi Rosenberger explains, “We are looking to take advantage of all the aspirational images that people have saved and use that as a way to make it more actionable. The Styled by Levi’s tool helps make discovery a more personalized experience.”
