Popular WeWork locations in three U.S. cities will transform their settings to help National Geographic promote its new T.V. mini-series centered around the booming '90s tech movement

WeWork, the American company that specializes in shared office spaces, is revamping select locations to promote a new partnership. To create buzz around natural wonder publication National Geographic ‘s soon-to-launch T.V. show Valley of the Boom, WeWork is decorating its Los Angeles, San Francisco and New York locations in a ’90s theme.

Valley of the Boom follows the heads of the tech movement during its rise in the ’90s, and National Geographic hopes to draw on WeWork’s independent, startup-supporting service and culture to help advertise the new show. Accordingly, the transformed WeWork locations will feature familiar computer games of the time, like Tetris and Oregon Trail, as well as offer customers the chance to receive ’90s vending machine goods like trading cards after posting the #ValleyOfTheBoom hashtag on social media.

In addition to the ’90s makeover and nostalgia, the activations will also offer WeWork’s career development advice to help members develop networking and business skills.
