Amazon ventures into the automotive retail industry with its latest innovation, Echo Auto. The in-car product will provide customers with access to Alexa’s voice-enabled features, creating a more efficient transportation experience.

Drivers will be able to use voice technology for a variety of automobile-related concerns, including entertainment and safety assistance. Pre-existing Echo owners can continue their Alexa activities (listening to music, audiobooks, etc) in the car, streamlining the customer’s daily interactions with Amazon.

Amazon has been making strides toward automotive assistant presence for a while, with capabilities for auto control integrated into Alexa for home. Similar automotive collaborations are already in swing: BMW and Byton have debuted Alexa-integrated cars, followed shortly by Audi’s all-electric eTron.
