Credo360 is a peer-to-peer network built on social credibility, letting members transact with trusted strangers based on the reputation of their digital identity

Platforms like eBay and Poshmark have created a thriving secondary market of peer-to-peer sales. Most sites do have some kind of ratings systems for accountability, but there are ways for them to be gamed. Credo360 is a company that uses blockchain technology to establish reliability and enable user trust for P2P transactions.

Through Credo360, members can create their own digital identity card. As they perform transactions, such as renting, buying or hiring from a stranger, peers can vouch for each other's trustworthiness. Since the card is stored on a blockchain, the information is portable, secure and members can determine who is able to view it.

Members can do things like negotiate price, send pictures, make payments, schedule meetings or just chat with people they don't know, encompassing the functions of a typical messenger, but without having to having to share typical personal information like full name or email addresses. Yanni Shainsky, the CTO of Credo360, says, “Our ultimate goal is to bring the security and honorable commerce of a traditionally small community to the globalized world but without sacrificing anyone's privacy.”
