Swedish fast fashion retailer, H&M has expanded its line of home decor products. In an effort to both promote their holiday gift offerings and also to make life easier on customers, the brand teamed with Google to create a voice-enabled shopping experience.

Utilizing any of Google’s home accessories, users can browse the retailer’s holiday gift guide. If they see anything they’d like to purchase they can do so by voice command. Voice-enabled shopping is becoming very popular. According to Payments.com, “The percentage of shoppers who used a speaker to make a purchase rose from 14% to 27% in just one year.”

With this move, H&M hopes to keep up with other retailers as consumers increasingly expect voice activated shopping to be offered. Google hopes teaming with hip and younger brands will help the tech giant keep up with competitors Amazon and Apple.
