The hotel's gift shops will sell a curated selection of products from online retailer Fancy, bridging the online-offline gap to reinvent the gift shop concept for a younger generation

Arlo Hotels recently partnered with Fancy, a digital marketplace for a network of creators around the world. The NYC boutique hotels will feature Fancy X Arlo stores in their lobbies, inside the 24-hour concession, Arlo Bodega.

There, guests will be able to shop from Fancy's selection of goods, spanning art, electronics, jewelry, stationary, ceramics and more. The Arlo group sought out Fancy as part of a brand initiative to boost small businesses and local communities. “Arlo is a brand founded in playfulness and curiosity, and we're excited to partner with Fancy to introduce their innovative, witty products and vendors to our guests,” said senior vice president and managing director for Arlo Hotels, Javier Egipciaco, in a press release.

In particular, the hotel brand hopes to target younger, millennial consumers with unique and exclusive offerings, revamping the stale gift shop concept for modern guests. The partnership also bridges the online-offline gap, making it the first time guests can shop for hotel merchandise from the internet in real life, and from anywhere in the world.
