The luxury cruise liner created a retail experience aimed at its Chinese customers who are looking for high-end goods, featuring Bulgari, Salvatore Ferragamo and more

Costa Cruises recently launched the Costa Venezia, the first ship in a growing China-focused fleet. Working with Starboard Cruise Services, the Costa Venezia offers retail options tailored for guests' with high-end taste, including watches, jewelry, leather goods, perfumes, cosmetics and more.

The ship will feature exclusive, first-time-at-sea luxury retailers Max Mara, Salvatore Ferragamo and Bulgari. With this last brand, Costa Cruises has partnered to present a unique entertainment experience called the Bulgari Jewellery Show, described as “an evening of elegance and glamour highlighting the Italian jeweller’s masterful craftsmanship.”

“Through our experience of working with Costa we know which brands work for the Chinese customer. This is why the combination of the Bulgari store and jewelry showcase is key for the retail experience strategy of Costa,” Stafano Menegotto, Vice President and General Manager Cruise Retail Europe for Starboard tells DNFICreating this experience on a cruise, already a high-end item, Costa Cruises hopes it can engage one of the fastest growing demographics of luxury consumers.
