As retailers in the food and beverage space increasingly look to provide customers with the lower-cost and eco-friendly products they demand, Tetra Pak offers a stackable, compact, affordable alternative to traditional packaging

When retailers look to become more efficient and sustainable, one of the key elements to address is product packaging. Swiss-based food packaging and processing company Tetra Pak wants to help vendors do so with its innovative cube packaging format.

Tetra Pak's design is targeted at makers of dairy-based products, as well as juice and other liquids. The packaging's dimensions allow for six individually contained products to be stacked into a cube formation, optimizing transportation and storage space—the design lets manufacturers cut down on secondary packaging, requiring 40% less space for transport.

Tetra Pak has stated that it will make the cube packaging design available at an affordable price point for interested parties. Beyond enabling more efficient shipping and optimizing retailers' shelf space, the cubes are also intended to help brands and businesses better align their products with growing consumer concern for sustainability, waste and throwaway culture. The Pak is now available worldwide.
