From PSFK's Accelerating Innovation In Retail report, here's how today's leading retailers are fostering a culture of creative growth through collaborative developments

When it comes to innovation, strength in numbers has never been more applicable. Whether it’s through hiring creative staff or leveraging customer feedback, leading brands and retailers across industries are fostering a generation of growth and creativity by listening and learning from their customers, employees and each other. Brand partnerships give each of their respective participants access to important technology, insight and experience that they otherwise might not have had, ultimately producing a mutually beneficial exchange.

From PSFK’s Accelerating Innovation In Retail report, here’s how industry leaders are collaborating with other brands and technologies to innovate around the customer experience:

Diane von Furstenberg x Salesforce DVF 360
Fashion brand Diane von Furstenberg partnered with retail tech giant Salesforce to develop and launch ‘DVF 360,’ an immersive 3D shopping experience powered by Salesforce Commerce Cloud. The experience allows customers to take a virtual tour of
the brand’s New York headquarters, new products and behind-the-scenes footage of the designer’s personal workspace.

New York Fashion Tech Lab
The New York Fashion Tech Lab provides opportunities for emerging women-led, fashion-focused tech companies to collaborate with iconic fashion brands and retailers like LVMH and Macy’s. The brand collaborations, which change every year, offer mentorship and expertise to the emerging companies.

Sephora x Google
Beauty retailer Sephora collaborated with Google to bring its YouTube content to the tech company’s newest voice assistant device, Google Home Hub. Owners of the device can now ask Google to play any of Sephora’s makeup tutorials from the 10-inch display screen. Additionally, the devices will be placed in 10 Sephora stores across the country and will feature a “dream vanity experience” so that customers can play around with the device.

Foot Locker x GOAT Group
Sportswear retailer Foot Locker announced a strategic investment and partnership with exclusive sneaker marketplace and tech company GOAT Group to elevate the sneaker-buying experience. This partnership aims to create a more seamless omnichannel
customer experience across digital and physical retail platforms.

From data-driven strategies to creative conversations with super fans, brands and retailers’ innovation teams are fostering a culture of collaboration that enables them to develop more engaging customer experiences.
