Molson Coors debuted an ecommerce platform for its Blue Moon brand, with plans to integrate shopping capabilities into its social media campaigns as well

Molson Coors brewing company is introducing a direct-to-consumer delivery service for select products. In particular, the retailer's Blue Moon label will now be available for order through an online shop and through social media platforms.

The ecommerce and social commerce features are enabled through a partnership with distributing companies Drizly and Minibar Delivery to bypass the restrictions put upon manufacturers when it comes to DTC. Molson Coors' hope for this platform is that it will help to boost the dwindling wholesale numbers they've seen over the last few years, as consumer behavior around alcohol continues to change.

Along with providing a more convenient ordering method in line with where today's consumers prefer to transact, the platform will also give Molson Coors better access to consumer data. Moreover, the online marketplace will help the brand better understand its consumers' online practices and improve its digital presence accordingly.
